Ever Changing “stars” – Network Experiments in Continuous Time–
نویسندگان
چکیده
Inspired by the 2-way-information flow model on network formation by Bala and Goyal (2000) and strategy adaptation experiments of players in (almost) continuous time (e.g., Berninghaus, Ehrhart and Keser 1999) we design network formation experiments in which almost all groups not only reach a strict Nash network but also switch to several other strict Nash networks and stay with each of them for some time. In our framework strict Nash networks are periphery sponsored stars which, therefore, prove to be a good predictor for network experiments. JEL classification: C72, C78, C92

Dynamic Computations in Ever-Changing Networks Invited Talk Abstract
This talk focuses on dynamic computations (sometimes called live, on-going, continuous, or stabilizing), which continuously adapt their output to reflect input and network topology changes. Three specific examples are discussed: continuous weighted matching, live monitoring, and peer sampling (also called gossip-based membership). Such computations are of interest in ever-changing networks, whe...
متن کاملMetacognition and Decision Making in Management Accounting Students
Competitive and skilled management accountants are needed for the companies' survival in an ever-changing world and also a world without borders. Therefore, the problem is what components in a decision maker brings out the best decision. Since learning is continuous and continuous learning is essential in an ever changing world in order for the company to survive. The aim of this study is to de...
متن کاملDouble-Star Detection Using Convolutional Neural Network in Atmospheric Turbulence
In this paper, we investigate the usage of machine learning in the detection and recognition of double stars. To do this, numerous images including one star and double stars are simulated. Then, 100 terms of Zernike expansion with random coefficients are considered as aberrations to impose on the aforementioned images. Also, a telescope with a specific aperture is simulated. In this work, two k...
متن کاملساخت و تحلیل فهرست ستارهای از کهکشان M33
In this study, 1200 images and catalogues of M33 spiral galaxy taken by WFCAM camera at UKIRT telescope in J, H and K bands. Cross correlation methods were employed to identify stars in overlapping regions from among images taken in different dates. Careful astrometric and photometric analysis was made to calibrate stellar positions and magnitudes using their 2MASS near infra red survey. The fi...
متن کاملPulsating red giant and supergiant stars in the Local Group dwarf galaxy Andromeda I
We have conducted an optical long-term monitoring survey of the majority of dwarf galaxies in the Local Group, with the Isaac Newton Telescope (INT), to identify the long period variable (LPV) stars. LPV stars vary on timescales of months to years, and reach the largest amplitudes of their brightness variations at optical wavelengths, due to the changing temperature. They trace stellar populati...
